Holding True - What We Believe
Heb. 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever"

He still speaks to us, still loves us, still disciples us, still heals, still sets people from bondage, still...

                                    The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.  It is not a road map for living right, it is life itself.  We believe what it says and bank our lives on it.  I am who it says I am, and I can do what it says I can do!

                                    God

We believe that God is triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the Three are coexistent, coeternal, and equally divine.

                                    Father
He is the eternal creator of all and loves his creation.  He is a very personal being who is  intimately involved with mankind.  We believe that he has revealed himself in the Bible to be a God who wants to dwell

                                    Jesus
He is the one who came to save mankind.  He is fully God and fully man.  He loves us incredibly!

                                    Holy Spirit
He is the Spirit of God who dwells in a person who gives over control of His life to God.

                                    How a Person is "Saved"
Salvation is being brought from death to life.  It is the transfer of God's life and right-ness into us.  We were created in the image and likeness of God but mankind has rebelled ever since the Garden of Eden.  Although man has the capacity to do nice things (from the leftover image of God in us) nobody is good.  Good to God (who standard is the only one who counts) is perfection.  Because nobody could meet this requirement for relationship with God, He sent His Son Jesus the Christ to pay for our sins and make us perfect (because our sins have been erased forever).  He did this because it has ALWAYS BEEN GOD'S DESIRE TO DWELL - HANG OUT WITH US!  A person is "saved" from their being held to God's standard when they exchange their life for the life of Jesus.  He gets our life and we get His life!  Now that is a great deal!  The Bible say when we confess (swear our allegiance to) Jesus is Lord (our master and King) and believe that God raised Him from the dead - we will be saved!!

                                    Pentecostal Stuff
If it happened in the life of Jesus we believe that it not only can happen today, but it does!  If you don't know what Pentecostal means, let me break it down for you;  Healing and miracles take place today.  We believe it, we pray for it and we see it!

                                    Baptism with The Holy Spirit
Jesus promised it and then told His followers to wait - do go anywhere - until you receive it.  This baptism empowers the people who would receive it to live a "power life".  It give you MORE power to become GREATER witnesses and bring much needed miraculous power to minister the love of God.

                                    Heaven
It is a real physical place for those who did NOT reject Jesus the Christ's offer of life exchange (see above) will live forever.  We will see Jesus face to face and know God in such an intimate way... we will be blown away!  If you like the earth, which was created by God for man, then you will like heaven - I don't know how similar it will be, but it will be better!

                                    Hell
It's real - It's separation from God - You don't want to go there.

                                    The Second Coming of Jesus
Yes He is!  When?  Nobody knows.  Do God's business until He comes.
