Outreach
Jesus Christ commanded his disciples ".Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). Our Lord also commanded the disciples to love another and serve one another as he had loved and served them (John 13:13, 14 and 34). Our Lord also taught them to obey his words, as he had obeyed his Father’s words (John 14: 21 – 24; 15: 7-10).
That being the case it is not optional to reach out. Reaching our families, our neighbors, our communities, our cities, state, country and world for the kingdom.
But what does that mean? Do we simply go and preach the Word of God and leave people to fend for themselves. Navigating the waters of getting grounded in the Word is not the only form of outreach. We at Hope Chapel are desirous to become the hands and feet of our Lord. Ministering love in practical ways. Whether that is by feeding those who are hungry, clothing the naked or just putting on a fresh coat of paint at a woman’s halfway home, we understand that God is a results God. He brings about the changes in hearts, but we are called to bring the Heavenly to the physical world. We are the gateways of introduction to His love, His heart and His plan of salvation.
We are always on the lookout for ministry opportunities and welcome the chance to hear of new callings. Please email us at pastorluke@hopeoc.org or call the church office 714-435-1400 with a need we might be able to fill for the kingdom.
