1 Timothy 2:1 (NLT) -- 1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.
Thinking about everyone or talking about everyone many times has taken the place of praying. Sometimes we talk instead of praying. We talk their issues out instead of praying for God to intervene. Maybe we pray for them to come to our astute and spiritual conclusion so they can solve their issue. Praying works better.
We are urged to stand in the gap. We are to land somewhere between them and God and pray for God to help them, bless them, grow them, astound them with His love AND give thanks for them. I sense a call back to prayer. To pray for everyone we know. You may be the only one praying for them. You may be the only one standing in the gap. You have influence. What you say to God has great effect. You are more powerful than you think.
